About Us
My name is Nicholas Barnes, and as an Austin native with deep roots in Central Texas since 1998, I bring a wealth of local knowledge and expertise to the pool industry. My journey began in 2017 when I joined a small startup pool service company. During my time there, I earned my CPO license and developed strong relationships with clients throughout Central Texas, serving both residential and commercial customers.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I made the decision to step away from the pool industry to serve as a first responder with various EMS departments in the area. However, the trust and encouragement from my former clients inspired me to return to my passion for pool maintenance. This led to the founding of Carapace Pools.
